Click the "Stairs" tool and select your preferred stair design and color. You'll only need to do this if your house is on a raised foundation. You can also click "Roof trim" and give the roof a nice finished edge in the color of your choice. Click "Roof Patterns." Change the style and color of your roof.Click "Floor Patterns." If you're having trouble getting the roof on top of the house, try clicking the page-up arrow on the upper right corner menu and try again. Click the chosen roof, move it to the top of the structure, and click to place it down. For this style house, it's best to choose a gabled, half-gabled, hipped, or half-hipped roof because they're square. Click the "Roofs" tool and choose one of the options. Click on the double up/down arrows in the center of the box and drag up or down to raise or lower the home's foundation. Note: any parts that go over the edge of the lot will be clipped off. Click the curved arrows to rotate the structure. By clicking on the crossed arrows, you can move the structure around and reposition it on your lot. At the top of that menu, you'll find options for low, medium, or high walls. When your structure is highlighted, you'll see a square menu hovering above it. You can always adjust this more later, so just get a general size for now. Click the side arrows and drag the walls in or out to adjust the size of your space. This automatically puts up four walls with a foundation and a ceiling. Select the "Room Tool" (second from left on the "Wall Tools" menu) and drag it across your lot diagonally.If the object is not able to go there, the outline will appear red. If you're able to place something in a particular spot, the outline will appear green.
